Where should we park?

Ruthless C’s is located in the Belmar Marina on J Dock. If there is parking available in the marina then park there. If there are no spots available, J Dock is located close to the 35 bridge, clients can drive under the bridge, across the train tracks and they can make an immediate left into the parking lot, unpaid spots on the right and the spots on the left are unpaid until 4pm.

What time should we arrive?

We ask you to arrive at least half an hour before your charter time to find parking and get settled in on the boat.

Do customers need to bring their own fishing rod and tackle or can they get it on the boat?

Ruthless C’s will provide all equipment needed for a fun fishing experience. However, if clients prefer to bring their own equipment, that is fine. (Ruthless C’s is not responsible for any damage done to personal equipment)What should I bring with me?

Be prepared by packing a hat, sunglasses, sunblock, food and beverages and motion sickness medication (just in case).

Are there any rest rooms on board?

Yes, absolutely, on the boat it’s called a “head” and we have a private head for your convenience.

Should I bring food and drinks?

Ruthless C’s provides water and snacks for our customers. Please feel free to bring your own food and drinks - especially lunch! There is cooler space for beverages and food on board.

What about alcoholic beverages?

Yes, you may bring beer (cans, please no beer bottles), spiked seltzers or wine. We ask that you not bring hard liquor on fishing charters. We would like everyone to come out and have a great time and all we ask is that you are nice and respectful!

Please note: There are no Illegal drugs permitted on the boat at any time.

The Captains of the Ruthless C’s reserve the right to cancel any charter without refund if the charter group is intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs and poses a danger to themselves or others.

What should customers wear?

White sole sneakers or deck shoes/fishing boots. Shoes with a marking sole will not be permitted because they cause damage to our vessel. hat, sunscreen (only lotion, no spray please), weather appropriate clothing, foul weather gear when necessary and motion sickness tablets if needed.

What do customers do with the fish that they catch?

Bring a cooler with you to take your fish home in but leave it in the car until you return to the dock. We provide cooler space on board while fishing.

Is there fish cleaning services on board?

Yes, captain Andy will clean, filet and bag the catch back at the dock 

Should customers tip the deck hands (crew)?

Yes, the first mate works for tips only, 20% for fishing. 15-20% for family/friend cruises

What if we have to cancel our trip?

Cancellations must be made 7 days prior to the charter date. If cancellation is made after this time the deposit will not be returned. Cancellations caused by an act of Mother Nature will be re-booked on a later date that is agreeable between both parties. All trips that cannot be re-booked will be re-booked for the next year and deposits will carry over. There are no refunds. cancellation of any charter is the decision of our Captain.
